Rush

By Eric Y. Theriault

I rush to you;
from where ever I am;
But just to say goodbye after hello.

Rush to you;
from what ever I am doing;
In hopes to never leave you again;
but I come too quick;
and I must wait.
I worry;
I thought that you would be here by now.

Wont you ask me how my day was?
Wont you care for me;
when work is at its worse?
Wont you comfort me;
when I fear I'll fail?
Wont you support me;
when I try something new?
Why wont you care for me;
The way I care for you?

The things I would tell you;
If only you'd ask.
The things I would tell you;
If only I was given the chance.
The things I would tell you;
If you only would show some interest.
The things I would tell you;
If only I wouldn't make you cry.
I don't want to make you cry;
I just want to feel as if you cared;
Not for them; Just for me.
Just for once?
