Software Usability Has Not Caught On...

Back in 2001, I read About Face: The Essentials of User Interface Design by Alan Cooper. This book has greatly changed the way that I look at software and the way that I design software. It is, in my opinion, a must read for all developers. Alan has recently released About Face 2.0: The Essentials of Interaction Design, and I am hoping to get this one in the near future.

When I use software, I am still surprised at how many poor designs that I see. In mid 2002, I started to write some thoughts on these in an article-like fashion. It remained dormant for a while, however, I decided to update it and post it here: Software Usability Has Not Caught On.
